Christiana D'Amore loves the unconventional, like frozen marshmallows and a glass of cabernet as a midnight snack. She believes that magic is sprinkled in between the mundane and if people just looked closely enough, they would realize life is a wild adventure. She lives in Boston and is a dog lover, a teacher, and a creative writer. She has been writing poetry since she was a child, inspired by the tragic events of 9/11. She believes that writing is the gateway to creative expression. As a humanitarian, she strives for positive influence in her writing and hopes that her words inspire readers to consider multiple perspectives in life. Dustin Miller's father passed away years ago, but his haunting presence still lingers in photographs, in empty chairs, and in open doorways. He was not the type of man you mourn; he was the type of man you forget. You would think that his death brought light to the family, but unfortunately Dustin's brother, Mark followed in his father's footsteps and is standing in the way of Dustin's happiness. As a graduating senior, Dustin plans to flee the darkness of his hometown, but he must first face the monsters of his past before he can start a new life. In this coming-of-age novel, the subconscious mind is tested, and sibling relationships are challenged in the pursuit of releasing the past and embracing the future.
